Midland GXT720VP3 36 Channel GMRS Radios with NOAA Weather/All Hazard Alert. Includes Rechargeable Batteries, and Dual Desktop Charger, Pair Packed. The GXT720VP3 features the standard 22 GMRS Channels with an extra 14 Channels with the range up to 48 km (30 Miles). The Weather Scan feature finds the nearest NOAA broadcast to stay up to date with the latest weather and hazard information. In addition to important weather announcements, All Hazards Alert means the GXT720VP3 will receive other emergency announcements such as Child Abduction (Amber Alert), Nuclear Power Plant warnings, Biological Hazard, Fire, and Landslide Warnings. The GXT720VP3 features a Vibrating Alert for silent notification, 121 Privacy Codes, 3 Level E Vox for Hands Free operation, Scan of the 36 Channels, Hi/Med/Low Power Settings, 10 Call Alerts, Keypad Lock, and Battery Save Circuit. Unlike other GMRS radios on the market that use lithium batteries, Midland's Dual Power Option allows the use of the included rechargeable batteries or 4 "AA" batteries (Not included). An External Jack can be used for the Midland AVP-1 AVPH1, AVPH2, AVPH3, AVPH4, AVPH5 Headsets.

Is it Legal to use?

In Canada, Radar Detectors are legal to use in province of AB, BC, SK and are illegal in NB, MB, ON, QC, NS, NL, PE, NT, YT, NU.

In USA, Radar detectors are completely legal to use in non-commercial vehicles in 49 states. Virginia and Washington DC are the only places in the United States that currently ban radar detectors. Radar detector use in commercial vehicles has been prohibited in the U.S. since 1995.

We do not track detector regulations in other countries.

New Microcircuitry

Radar detectors have continued to improve with the advances in micro-circuitry, and improved logic and signal processing. The most advanced radar detectors are now able to detect all forms of radar in use, as well as laser, at greater distances than ever before, often miles in advance. Additionally, some radar detectors even will show the number of signals they are receiving, and from what direction the radar is being detected. Other common radar detector options include the ability to hard wire the unit directly into your car, as well as improved resistance to false alarms.
